So, yesterday, I worked the night shift and it was of course crazy as always. The thing was more than half of the families were sick. So we did a small activity with the healthy ones. However the sick and hurt ones needed lots of attention. By 11:00 at night I was ready to go to bed and sleep. But before I left work I was informed that I was needed back in work at 6:30 in the morning for childcare. I literally rushed home took a shower and jumped into bed. One of the ladies on the third/ late night shift called me at 6:15 to make sure I was awake.
Childcare wasn't bad, we watched movies, ate breakfast and lunch, played outside, painted things, took naps, and I even had time to do paper work. Also while I was changing diapers, making food, and putting baby to sleep I was still able to do my other job requirements that involved other people and phone calls. So despite being tied and worn out I survived my two shifts in less than 24 hours :-) I almost offered to cover for the girl who got sick, but I was sent home (Thank Goodness) and got to nap a little bit before dinner.
I am hoping and praying that my upset stomach and dizziness is due to lack of sleep and food. I am banking on not being sick, because I am going on the volunteer retreat tomorrow around 1:00. Hopefully not only will it be a more enjoyable car ride, thanks to motion sickness pills, but that I can catch up on my sleep tonight and during the car ride. To end my past 48 hours of fun I went over to Paul (of course) and watched a movie, had Oreos and milk, and enjoyed the brother and sister bonding time.
