To start my day off I got awesome news... well actually some upsetting news. Jewell called and was discouraging me from deferring my loans and explaining that it would cost me more in the long run. I was kind of mad that the woman (from Jewell) even felt like she should suggest that I have my parents help pay my loans back. I was actually more than a little mad. Luckily I found out I didn't have money due til March or February and I could cut cost and pay $25 a month with my stipen and use $80 every three months for my medicine. I wouldn't have much money when returning home, but I wouldn't be in huge debt either. But as I was about to e-mail CAP about my Americore my computer came up with a virus.

20 mile hike
Today we went on a 20 mile hike, well more of a 12 mile hike that got interrupted and changed directions. My weekend started last night when I went to work at 1:00. I did this so I could head down to McCreary County that night, so we didn't have to leave at 6:00 in the morning to be at Cumberland Falls at 8:00 am. To finish our 20 mile hike before sunset... So I got picked up around 9:00 went back to the house everyone finished packing and taking showers. We left our place at 9:00, ended up at the other volunteer house by 11:00. We ended up having a slumber party in the school building and slept on cots and read children's books before bed. It was a cute girl's night. Then we all got up by 7:00 to go hiking by 8:00 at Cumberland Falls. The plan was to go from trail one to trail 2 to another trail until we finish 20 miles. But before we finished trail 1 my roommate fell and twisted her ankle. So we headed back to the volunteer house and set her up on a couch. Then we head out to trail 10 and finished at least two trails. Our 20 mile hike turned into a 11 mile hike. and ended at a couple of craft stores. Besides being tried and worn out it was worth it. Now I need to jet because out volunteers showed up to our house to chill and bake cake.

Broken hair bands, chocolate,and webs
Thing have been crazy as always here... people coming in and out of course. Mixed in with childcare and searching for activities. Tomorrow is gonna be a crazy day filled with packing, baking, and working. I am getting up early packing my clothes for a 20 mile hike and the night before down South. Then I'm baking cookies! Yup after cookies I am going to work and leaving from work with a bunch of volunteers and we are going to another volunteer house spending the night getting up early and making a day hike in Cumberland Falls.
But for today I prepared two Lasagna, one turkey one beef, made some garlic bread, garlic cheese bread, and some frozen veggies. I also made a cake too. My cooking skills were great (with the amazing help of my roommate of course). For devotion we played charades and made a fool of ourselves, but it was nice too. Work earlier was tough, but enjoyable. There was a lot of childcare and small activities, but I work a semi day/ night shift tomorrow. Hopefully I'll sleep in a bit make my cookies and enjoy my hike on Saturday. Happy weekend!

la la la
Today I was asked where I was from and after I said, "Saint Louis", the women who was born and raised in Kentucky told me that I sounded like a Yankee, even though Saint Louis isn't an Eastern area. But I guess I would rather be a Yank, than a Southern Bell. :-)
